Program Overview
You’ll help validate features and polish the UX before release. In return for valuable, actionable feedback, you’ll receive rewards (details below).
Security & Privacy
- On-Device — Encrypted by Default: your invoices, quotes, clients, expenses, and settings live on your device and are encrypted at rest. If a device is lost or stolen, data in Solid Invoice remains unreadable without your passcode/biometric unlock. Learn more: On-device encryption.
- iCloud sync (optional): when enabled, data is protected with pre-egress encryption — it’s encrypted before it leaves your device. In plain terms: even Apple only sees scrambled data.
- User responsibility & control: you decide what to export, when to share it, and how to store it. Learn why “trust no one” (TNO) matters.
What to Test
- Client Management — create a client, import from Contacts, edit fields, archive/unarchive.
- Appointments — create from the client page, open Maps for directions, confirm time zones and calendar adds.
- Invoices — create/send, verify balance, PDF preview quality.
- Quotes → Invoice conversion — accept a quote and convert with one tap; check line items & totals carry over.
- Expenses & OCR — scan receipts, validate extracted fields, confirm original image is archived and searchable. Trust but verify: always review OCR results before saving.
- Branding — set logo/colors, verify on invoice/quote previews and PDFs, persistence across sessions.
- Paid “Stamp” customization — selection of stamp style, position, color, and scale; verify on preview & exported PDF.
- Reports — revenue by client, outstanding invoices, expense summary, monthly/quarterly totals, and report branding appears as expected.
- Exports — CSV export flow + privacy prompts; confirm structure matches docs and branded elements where applicable.
- Default Mail Message — customize subject/body, check placeholders (client name, invoice #, amount), test send.
- Settings — currency, tax rate, hourly rate, date formats; ensure new documents pick up changes.
- Sync — enable iCloud, edit on device A, confirm on device B after sync; check conflict handling.
- General UX — navigation clarity, performance, dark mode, VoiceOver/large text accessibility.

What counts as high-quality feedback?
- Bug reports with clear steps to reproduce, expected vs. actual results, and screenshots or screen recordings.
- Actionable UX suggestions — describe what was confusing, where it happened, and why a change would help.
- Coverage across multiple areas (invoices, quotes, expenses/OCR, reports/exports, branding, sync, accessibility).
Your data is safe: anything you create or sync during TestFlight will carry over seamlessly to the release version — no re-entry.
